Jan Strimple

Jan Strimple began her illustrious fashion career at the amazingly young age of 13. She is now an internationally recognized model and fashion event producer. Jan has made a lasting imprint on the fashion industry by being the image of mannequins produced by the world’s most respected supplier of mannequins, Rootstein of London.

Dallas is fortunate to be the home of this talented, fashion forward icon, a woman who is also known as a champion of youth among other worthy causes. Not only does she train young runway hopefuls from area agencies, but she also mentors fashion and design students from marketing and merchandising institutions in Texas and Oklahoma, providing internships with school credit and extraordinary practical experience in the process.

Her many awards include induction into the New York Women’s Hall of Fame in 1996 for her fundraising efforts on behalf of fighting AIDS as well as the Design Industry Foundation’s “Legend in the Fight Against AIDS” in 2001. In 1999 she was nominated for the Ray Kuchling award for “outstanding contributions and support of the human rights campaign,” and she continued to receive kudos for her philanthropic work in 2006 when she was honored by Philanthropy World Magazine at their prestigious Gala recognizing captains of industry as well as outstanding socially conscious citizens in the philanthropic world.

Fashion Group International awarded Jan the Fashion Forum Career Achievement Award in 2003 for achievements in her field and The Fashion Innovation Award in 2008 for transcending the ordinary in the Fashion Industry and raising the bar for others to reach.

Jan brings a special excitement to the Colleyville Woman’s Club’s fashion runway and promises another over the top production that is sure to appeal to men and women alike.
