History

Since1978 when a small group of women gathered in a Colleyville bank with $25.00 donated by the Chamber of Commerce, their organization, the Colleyville Woman’s Club, has since grown into a well-known service organization of over 200 members that has raised over $2.5 million for local charities. CWC is a tax-exempt 501(c )(3) organization devoted exclusively to charitable and educational endeavors.  Funds are awarded to a variety of community projects, programs and nonprofit organizations in the area.

The Colleyville Woman’s Club presented its first fashion show fundraiser 25 years ago with members modeling fashions from local shops on a runway decorated with home-made paper flowers.  The first show netted $781 for charity. Through the years this event has grown into one of the premier daytime fundraisers in the Metroplex.  Some 600 attendees are expected at this year’s event.

The Colleyville Woman’s Club traditional daytime “ladies lunch” Fashion Show and Luncheon Benefit, is March 26 at the Hyatt Regency DFW where the doors will open at 9:30 am. CWC is proud to welcome back Saks Fifth Avenue – Galleria as fashion sponsor and Jan Strimple as fashion producer.

The Fashion Show Luncheon Benefit includes elaborate Live, Big Board and Silent Auctions. The auctions include vacation packages and wonderful merchandise from some of the finest merchants in the Metroplex. Guests come early to socialize and place their bids. Attendees are encouraged to check out the on-line auction catalogue for bargains and plan their shopping early.
